Lets start of with a disclaimer. Nope, this topic has absolutely nothing got to do with M1, or handphones and stuff. Ever wondered how our life began? Ever thought of how the beginning of creation was like? Believe me, when i say that God was always around and he created each and every one of us in his image. If you accept that fact, maybe you would like to take alook at the title towards the right once more. One Life, Live it with Christ. <— Highlight
Yea. Cool huh? How he created the whole world out of just nothing.. If i asked you to name me some religions, what would pop into your head first? Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Judaism, Hindi, Christianity. Now, you must be wondering, why did i cancel that out? The very truth of the matter is that No! Christianity is not a religion. But more importantly, it is a relationship we have with God.
What is unconditional love? Is it when some guy goes up to a girl and confess his love? Is it when someone loves you so much that they persevere after countless rejections? Well, Wikipedia says its when love is given freely no matter what. Now lets all close our eyes and count sheep and try to picture someone who has such a great love for us, never swaying, never steering away. Boyfriend/Girlfriend? I think not. Yeps. You are right. It is none other than Christ.
There was a song that went “There’s no greater sacrifice, than a man would give his life, for a friend.” Just this sentence alone carries such deep meaning and gives us understanding of what Christ has done on the cross for all of us.
With his one life, he has sacrificed on the cross to make sure we get to live righteously through ours. With his one life, he has washed away all our sins. With his one life, he has taken all our burdens and placed it upon himself. A life with a purpose. A life given to us. Yes! Christ has come to save our sins and to carry our burdens upon the cross.
Just like the analogy from the Alpha book, A door is used to represent the door to our hearts. However, this door is made unique and different from the ones found in our homes. This door has only one handle, on the inside and none on the outside. What does this mean? Our hearts can only be opened from the inside and no where else. Of course, Christ has been waiting for us, always knocking on the door, waiting for it to be opened. Think of it this way, where we are locked up in this really sad place during a famine where prices have soared and we are starving. And Christ, stands at the door with lots and lots of water and food plus a ticket to a better place where we will not suffer in this world. Unbelievable huh ? The water and food represents spiritual food where once we consume them, we will never thirst for the likes of this earth. ( John 6:54Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.) And the ticket to a better place is the ticket to an eternal life, spend with Christ.
When Christ sacrificed on the cross, we have gained this one life. So with this one life that we have been given, live it with Christ !
